The visit to the museum starts on the ground floor, the first of three on which the museum is laid out. It is here in which the passing of time is manifested by means of a wood-fired oven, a simple stove and a modern glass ceramic one, which show us how things change over the years. In the adjoining room is a reproduction of a restaurant kitchen as well as the counter of a cake shop and cooks in their uniforms.

On the first floor we can admire the donations from the finest Basque restaurants and a perfectly laid table together with serving waiters. In this room is also displayed a collection of restaurant menus from around the world, which might well be considered the jewel of the museum.

The second room is set aside for Gastronomic Guilds with the history of each of them and their representative costumes. Several objects may also be found here which have been donated by the Guild of LLodio, which dates back to 1599.

We end our visit on the third floor where the assembly room is located together with a small library specializing in gastronomic matters.
